1. Introduction

HindiKids is developed by LESRA Future Apps. This privacy policy explains how we handle information when you or your child use our application. HindiKids is a child-directed learning app that teaches the Hindi language and the Devanagari script — Varnamala letters, Barakhadi, matra words, a picture dictionary, and mini-games — with tap-to-hear Hindi audio.

HindiKids is directed to children. We have built the app to comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families Policy. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent.

2. Information We Collect

Advertising Data

We use Google AdMob to display rewarded advertisements. Rewarded ads are shown only after a lesson or game finishes, and only when the player explicitly chooses to watch one via a consent prompt (“Yes” or “Not now”). Because the app is child-directed, AdMob is configured with age-restricted (child) treatment before the ads SDK initializes: ads are limited to family-safe content, all ad requests use non-personalized ads, and advertising is not personalized based on interests or behavior. AdMob may receive limited device and ad-request information necessary to display ads, but does not use persistent identifiers to build profiles about children.

Child-Directed Advertising

Before the ads SDK initializes, the app enables Google's consolidated age-restricted (child) treatment signal — the equivalent of the former child-directed treatment and under-age-of-consent flags — together with an ad content rating of “G” (General audiences only). No interest-based advertising or remarketing is used.

No ad mediation networks (such as IronSource or Liftoff/Vungle) are used in this app.

Analytics Data

We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous app usage — such as which lessons and mini-games are used and how often. We do not log personal identifiers or behavioral profiles tied to individual children.

Crash Reports

We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports so we can fix bugs. Crash reports may include device state, app version, and stack traces. No personal information is included in crash reports.

Purchase Information

We use Google Play Billing for an optional 1-year premium subscription that removes all advertisements and unlocks all lessons, mini-games, dictionary categories, and letters. Purchases are protected by a parental gate, and subscription state is stored only on the device. Purchase history is managed entirely by Google Play. We do not process or store payment information.

Fonts & Audio

To display Devanagari script correctly, the app uses the Noto Sans Devanagari font from Google's font service. Hindi pronunciation is generated on-device using the system text-to-speech engine (a Hindi “hi-IN” voice). No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted — and the microphone is never used.

Local Storage

Learning progress, stars, sticker rewards, and premium state are stored locally on your device using standard Android storage. This data stays on the device and is not transmitted to our servers.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your or your child's personal information. Because this app is directed at children, we comply with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy and do not share children's data with third parties for marketing purposes.

We share data only with:

5. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for app functionality and improvement. Learning progress, stars, rewards, and premium state are stored locally on the device and are not transmitted to our servers. You may request deletion of any associated data by contacting us.

6. Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect information. Local app data is stored on the device using standard Android storage. Third-party services (Google, Firebase) operate under their own security frameworks.

7. Children's Privacy

This app is designed for children and complies with COPPA and the Google Play Families Policy.

HindiKids is directed to children. We do not collect personal information from children without parental consent. Age-restricted (child) ad treatment is enabled before the ads SDK initializes, no mediation networks are used, and ad content is rated “G” (General). There are no account creation, social, or chat features that could expose children to strangers.

A parental gate (a simple math challenge) is required before any purchase or before leaving the app via an external link, so children cannot make purchases or open external content without a parent or guardian.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data associated with you or your child. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
